
| Lughnasadh (Lammas) 2nd August At Lughnasadh, also known as Lammas, we give thanks for the first fruits of the harvest. We bake a loaf to represent the Corn King, decorate it with corn dollies, fruits, barley, wheat or oats from the fields and symbolically sacrifice it by burning or burying it. A fire, a feast of breads, fruits and berries, drinking and making merry follow the rituals.
