| Welcome to Lilith's Glade! This site
is here to introduce you to our way of life and to give you an overview
of Paganism and witchcraft in general. Here at the Glade, we respect nature
as divine. We move with the seasons, respect the natural cycle of life and
death, and find within ourselves our true nature that connects us with the
divine in the world around us. We are two witches who were part of a larger coven for many years (eighteen!) and have now decided to start our own pagan commune in this beautiful area of France. Here in this sacred place, we devote our day-to-day lives to living as in-tune with nature as possible. Each day, we show respect to the Goddess, to the spirits and elementals that surround us and guide us in our journey. We are but travellers on this planet, enjoying this brief moment that has been given to us to discover ourselves and the world around us. We aim to make the most of every second by laughing, making music, dancing, living life to the full, enjoying arts of all forms, having fun and learning more about our individual paths. We take joy very seriously, as well as seriously undertaking our joyous rituals each day, rooting ourselves deeper into our Mother's fertile earth. Pagan theology is based primarily on experience, with the aim of Pagan ritual being to make contact with the divine in the world that surrounds us. Paganism encompasses a diverse community with some groups concentrating on specific traditions, practices or elements such as ecology, witchcraft, Celtic traditions or certain gods. Wiccans, Druids, Shamans, Witches, Wizards, Sacred Ecologists, Odinists, Heathens and many more besides make up the Pagan community. Here at Lilith's Glade, we offer a protective roof, a warm hearth and a welcoming safe environment for all who feel the calling and wish to share our ancient altar. "I think I could turn and live with animals, they're so placid and self contain'd, I stand and look at them long and long. They do not sweat and whine about their condition, They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins, They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God, Not one is dissatisfied, not one is demented with the mania of owning things, Not one kneels to another, nor to his kind that lived thousands of years ago, Not one is respectable or unhappy over the earth."
